5.) Concept art for future comic project.

I've been busy with wrapping things up and working in a film internship. With any luck, it'll lead to a job working for the studio in New Orleans. I really am hoping to stay in N.O, it's such an awesome city filled with good food, great people, and lots of history. A lot of people are moving to N.O from L.A. I don't mind. A lot of the people who are moving to the city are crew members, so we're getting less of the egos and drama that are usually associated with L.A. That doesn't mean we haven't had our fair share of celebrity sightings! My husband got to meet Dan Aykroyd and even got an autographed container of Aykroyd's personal Vodka brand! It's in a glass skull container. It looks super cool!
We have other famous types who visit my husband's bar in Antoine's restaurant, too. They are simply too many to list, but my husband is new so he's only met about one or two of them. If you are ever in New Orleans, you should pay Antoine's a visit. It is almost 175 years old! The walls are covered in memorabilia from the very first Mardi Gras to all the photos and personal effects of presidents and celebrities who have visited the restaurant.
So, there is a lot of exciting film projects in New Orleans and one of them is even being released this month. I worked as an extra on 21 Jump St. and I've heard good reviews about it. You probably won't see me in the film very well though. XD
Ender's Game is being filmed in New Orleans as well. I have some friends who are huge fans, so they are a little cautious about how it will be handled.
As for me, I feel more and more confident that I will be able to get my foot in the door thanks to this internship and having a decent demo reel to show at interviews with other productions. It's not animation, but it'll pay the bills and I still love working on film sets.
